Sorry this is so much later than everyone else's! I was in a wedding last weekend and i'm in the process of moving. Eeek.

1)Alexandra Kicker, but everyone calls me Alex and I genuinely forget that Alexandra is my name.

2) I’m from Houston, Texas. More specifically a Northeast Houston suburb, Kingwood. But I’ve lived in Baton Rouge, Louisiana for the past four years. I’ve also lived in Dallas, TX; Raleigh, NC and Tampa, FL.

I come from an amazing Godly family with parents who are about to celebrate 28 years of marriage. I’m the oldest of five --- Jeb (16), Josh (15), Shelby (12) and Mason (9). I’m extremely close to my family.

3) I graduated in May from Louisiana State University. I majored in Business Management with a focus in Entrepreneurship and an almost minor in Women and Gender Studies. I want to go into non-profit development and fundraising, hopefully a non-profit focused on anti-human trafficking efforts.

4) I’m currently a Sales Lead (basically a part-time manager) at Ann Taylor LOFT in Baton Rouge…but my parents still pay for the big stuff like my car insurance and cell phone bill.

5)Free time is rarity for me, but when I do have free time… I’m usually hanging out with friends or spending time with my golden retriever. He’s almost 2, about 85 pounds and has the best personality of any dog you’ll ever meet. People say that he’s me in dog form. It’s true and not as weird as it probably sounds. I also love to run, to read, to walk aimlessly around Target, sit in Barnes and Noble with a cup of coffee for hours, etc. I’m also a huge fan of the beach and traveling. I also LOVE my church. I go to a small church that was started as a college ministry and I have the greatest community there. The majority of my free time goes to my boyfriend of almost two years, Preston. We’ve been friends since we started college and started dating our junior year. He’s one of the godliest men I know, hilarious, wise, humble, has a huge servant’s heart and he’s my best friend.

6)I started drinking coffee when I was in 6^th grade and haven’t slowed down since. I’m a straight shooter with a huge love of business and an even bigger passion for injustice. I love school supplies, especially pens and journals. I love TV on DVD. I love the beach. I love to run. I love college football. I’m a big city girl. I hope to live in many big cites over the years, including overseas. I love music --- especially indie, folk, acoustic type stuff.

7)I have a lot of ministry leadership experience through middle school, high school and college. Between youth group stuff and more recently, serving as Executive Vice President of the Baptist Collegiate Ministry at LSU and other leadership positions for 3 ½ years. I went to the Dominican Republic for 10 days when I was in high school on a church mission trip. I went on a Pensacola, FL mission trip right after high school and I went to Mexico my freshman year of college. 

8)the Lord has been incredibly faithful throughout this whole process, and I know that He has called me to this for a reason. I’m so excited about gaining field experience with trafficking through this trip, I’m also just excited about the incredible opportunity that this trip is and how what a tool it has been to witness to both believers and non alike. I’m excited that the Lord has given me this opportunity to serve Him. I think I’m most nervous about being away from home than anything else. I know it’s going to be really hard to be away from my boyfriend, family and friends, but I also know that the Lord has called me to be here and he’s not going to leave my relationships hanging.
