Ok, so I have never blogged before but here it goes:

My name is Meghan Lyn Karnei, aka Meg. I live in the little historical town of Goliad, Texas.

I have recently graduated from High School. I was, along with my two older siblings, homeschooled by our Mom through the Alpha Omega Acadamy.

From Feb. 2nd of 2010 to April 30th of 2011, I worked at Subway. I learned great people skills and also how to make a mean sandwich :P.

Let's see...I love coffee :). It's a part of my lifestyle and a charateristic I am well known for. I can drink it all day long, even if it is 102 degrees outside and I'm walking around at a flee market. Sunrises and sunsets are two of my favorite things, I love writing and reading poetry. Smiles make me happy and so do V8 Fusion drinks. I love spending time with my family, friends, and pets. I am the 5th member of my family, there's Dad, Mom, my sister Ashton, my brother Kristofer, and me. My sister just graduated college and my brother is in the Army National Gaurd. I sponsor a little girl in Sri Lanka through World Vision, I love writing her and getting her letters in return. I love being in nature, whether hiking, walking, running, or just sitting. Jesus is my best friend and I am a big Bible buff lol. I love playing checkers with my wonderful boyfriend, Chris, who is also in the Army National Guard. I love health foods and I have my favorite Bible verse, "The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not overcome it.-John 1:5",  tattooed on my back. I think chocolate is pretty much magical and I love screamo music, Haste The Day is my favorite band. I'm all for old silent films, "Orphans of the Storm" is the best in my opinion.

I have never actually been on a mission trip, however since I was 14 I knew I'd go one one someday, and when I was 16 I knew where I was going; India. Now that I'm 18 I am so thankful to God that I am actually going at last! I love teaching Vaction Bible School, which our church would hold for a week in the summer. I love working with kids, they are such a beautiful example of God's love. I used to volunteer at the Food Bank we have here in town, which was great. In 2009 I participated in the "30 Hour Famine" by World Vision, it was a wonderdul experience and I raised over $300 to help kids with hunger.

I am so excited about this mission trip to Goa, India. God has put the people of India on my heart, and I can not wait to go with Him there to show them His love. I know it will be hard, but I know it's what He want's me to do, and the right thing is usally not the easiest, but it's beautiful.

And that's all I've got for now!

Always,

Meghan
